VACCINATE TOURISM WORKERS

The Minister of Tourism and Sports, Ms Nikolina Brnjac, held a meeting with representatives of the Croatian Institute of Public Health on the topic of starting with the vaccination of tourism workers and setting up additional locations for testing tourists. The priority vaccination of 70,000 tourism workers will begin in mid-April and include permanent employees in the tourism sector and seasonal workers.

PAYMENT OF NAUTICAL TOURIST TAX
EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH THE ONLINE PORTAL

Based on a new decision and agreement between the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, payment of nautical tourist tax is now only possible and exclusively through the online portal nautika.evisitor.hr. Accordingly, boat owners can no longer purchase on the premises of port authorities and branches.

CROATIA RECORDS 140 THOUSAND TOURIST
OVERNIGHT STAYS DURING THE EASTER WEEKEND

More than 36,000 arrivals and about 140,000 overnight stays were recorded in Croatia during the Easter holidays, in the period from Friday, April 2 to Monday, April 5 2021. Most overnight stays were recorded in Istria, Kvarner, Zadar and Split-Dalmatia County. Kristjan Staničić, the Croatian National Tourist Board director, is satisfied with the numbers and believes that future tourist results will mostly depend on the epidemiological situation, adherence to epidemiological measures, and perception of Croatia as a safe tourist destination.

RYANAIR TO INTRODUCE 12 FLIGHTS FROM ZAGREB

Ryanair, one of the leading European airlines, will be the first low budget airline at Zagreb International Airport (MZLZ), introducing 12 international flights from Zagreb to cities in eight countries. Ryanair will operate flights from Zagreb to Brussels, Dortmund, Frankfurt, Karlsruhe, Memmingen, Milan, Rome, Podgorica, Oslo, Gothenburg, Paris and London. The first flights to Brussels and Milan are planned to start as of July.

NOMADS CAMPAIGN - "CROATIA, YOUR NEW OFFICE!"

Croatia is one of the first members of the European Union to regulate a one-year temporary stay for digital nomads. To position Croatia as an attractive and well-prepared destination for digital nomads, the Croatian National Tourist Board launched a new promotional campaign, "Croatia, your new office!". As part of the campaign, a special landing page, "Croatia your new office", was created in English on the Croatia.hr website and contains all the important information related to the permit application process and stay of digital nomads in Croatia.
